WOW! I am coming off a high this weekend and rolling right into high pressure good times. This past weekend I had two phenomenal gigs! REALLY! I was very pleasantly surprised. Here's how it went... I arrived in Minneapolis. I knew this gig would be fun as it was a smaller club than the usual Quest which I played and enjoyed many times so I knew the 'heads' would be there and rocking out. Sure enough, it was the perfect combo of 'heads' who were in tune and down with techno, acid house, and tech house and the local clubbers who were just out to get drunk and party it up. Man...I played for about 3 hours... they let me keep playing and keep playing way past the end time and then one last record and one more. Such a good gig! THEN, I thought I was off to a potential ravola hellish crappy gig that may not have been well attended as that trend is all too popular these days.

NO SIR! Apparently our beloved scene may be on the uprise. Kansas City Missouri was off the chain. I played after Josh the Funky 1 and before Richard Humptyvission. My good friend from up north, MC Flipside, was there and he was in fine form hyoing up the massive crowd in the theater setting. Wait till you see the pix. It was almost as good as the Mardi Gras Zoolu Allstarz party! I only got to play 1:15 but I played a ton of tracks so as to fit into the Chicago/LA style line-up and I very much enjoyed that. Usually when i have a very short set I go crazy and play a lot of records very quickly because I love so many! :) Longer sets, which are rare, like Friday night's on 6/11 in Mn, I am able to play long building spooky cool records cause I have time to really work a room and take people on a journey.

Both nights were really fun and well attended and one gave me long set to work the room while other gave me short set to be very intense. Good times!

NOW, I spend every day preparing for the opening of the O BAR this weekend. It's coming along and I strongly encourage everyone to check it out. I will be pouring tons of shots on the house so come out and party with me and the wonderful staff! We are excited to give West Philly something new! OK, bed time now. I promise to update the photo galleries soon. I did upload the Detroit festival pix on 611records.com so check it out.

Flying the way fire does,
love dances as fire dances.
She teases as fire teases.
She laps at me with her colorful spectrum and she leaves me burnt.

I am beginning to get into writing lyrics. Call me a weirdo, poser, whatever. Thoughts should be transferred onto paper (or computer). Why not?! I have just begin to incorporate vocals into some of my music I am producting. I have begun to remix vocal tracks too. I'm working with Aubrey on a few tracks and I'm remixing a few tracks for this friend of mine, Bolden. Gotta work, folks! Music is music. I love all kinds and I want to explore. So, who knows.... perhaps I may come up with some catchy lyrics that touch you about a certain person or event in your life. That would be awesome.

Book coming later. :)
